Larkswood Leisure CentreSwim Training

Our swimming sessions are held at the Larkswood Leisure Centre, New Road, Chingford, London E4 9EY

We have two swim training sessions per week:
Tuesday 8:00pm - 9:00pm & 9:00pm – 10:00pm
Thursday 8:00pm - 9:30pm

Both sessions are coached.

The main club session is on Tuesday evenings. If you are interested in joining the club, this is probably the best session to attend to find out more about us and meet some friendly people. Just turn up and introduce yourself to whoever is collecting the money!

The Castle Public House in Woodford GreenCycling

There is usually a weekly Sunday cycle, even throughout the winter!
Members of the club meet at the Castle public house in Woodford Green on Sunday mornings around 7:45am and depart at 8:00am.

Generally the aim is to cover 35-60 miles and a good standard of cycling is required. However twice per month a 'less fast bike ride' is held to for all club members, no matter what their cycling ability and no-one will be dropped. In addition, during Spring and Summer for those training for Ironman, there is usually an earlier, longer cycle (around 80-90 miles) starting from the Castle around 6.30am. Running

Run sessions happen on a Thursday evening and Saturday morning.

The Wednesday evening sessions cater for all speeds, twice a month we hold coached track sessions at Ashton’s Track Woodford Bridge at 7.30pm.

The Saturday session usually starts from Chingford in the car park opposite the Butlers' Retreat on Rangers Road. It is on paths through Epping Forest, which can become muddy in the winter, so trail shoes are optional. The sessions alternate between a general club session and a coached session. For the club sessions, we run for around 1h 15 minutes, usually on a hilly route and around 8 minute mile pace. Every other Saturday the session is coached and is aimed at all abilities in the club. Club Kit

Peter Dyer is the club's kit organiser. Kit will be available at swim sessions. Notification of dates will be made via the email group.
